What every business owner needs to succeed is a strong, customized STRATEGY for their business.
A great business strategy will be the foundation for building up the rest of your business… because there is no magical social media platform that will suddenly lead to success.
Having an email list or a blog, doing live video regularly, or having a digital product can all be contributing factors to leading to business success.
However, if you don’t actually have a STRATEGY for each one of those, you know what’s going to happen?
The medium you use isn’t what’s going to transform your business. Having a strong strategy that’s customized to your business IS going to be what transforms your business.
For example, I’ve had students come to me with thousands upon thousands of Instagram followers, yet never made a single sale from it—because they didn’t have an actual strategy behind their Instagram account.
It’s not enough to be on a certain social media platform, or to have an email list or a blog, or to do live video, or to have a product for sale. None of that means ANYTHING if you don’t have a strategy in place for leveraging that platform.
You need to have structured goals in mind when it comes to creating your strategy.
Coming up with a strategy for your business is all about identifying who your ideal client is, what services you will and won’t offer, what your vision and goals are for your business, WHY you want to do this at all, the action steps that you’re going to take to achieve said goals… and so much more.
Putting together an awesome strategy for your freelance business will mean that you are able to save a huge amount of time, because you’ll be much more targeted in your marketing. You’ll have a plan of action in place, which means you aren’t going to get paralyzed with feelings of overwhelm. You’ll be able to make real, tangible progress each week and to SEE your business grow over time when you have a strong foundational strategy.

The reason why I’m not providing you with a template for how to create your own business strategy is because—wait for it—there is no one-size-fits-all method that will work for every business.
You see, the trick with creating a strong strategy for your business is to ensure that it is a CUSTOMIZED strategy. It needs to be designed for YOU and for YOUR BUSINESS.
Taking someone else’s strategy and using that for your own will never lead you to as much success as you can have if you created your own customized strategy.
