If you’re like most solopreneurs, you crave financial freedom! Today we’re going to go over what you need to do FIRST if you want financial freedom as a solopreneur — plus the 6 ways that this will give you the financial freedom you crave in your solopreneur business, and how you can take action on it TODAY.

My name is Sagan Morrow and I'm an anti-hustle Productivity Strategist and internationally board-certified Success and Life Coach who specializes in working with solopreneurs.

Let's get into today's video: I recently taught a presentation called Anti-Hustle Secrets to Solopreneur Success, and at this session, I asked the live attendees, “What does success mean to you?”

A couple of things came up and they really inspired today's video. One person said that “financial freedom is top most, but time freedom is a close second.” Another answer was similar: “Covering all the bills, being able to save and afford a nice trip every few months, high quality work performed in a minimal amount of time, and being able to move my schedule around.”

Okay, so this is awesome. And I think that this is also highly relatable for the vast majority of us as solopreneurs. We want financial freedom, we want time freedom! This is why we create our solopreneur businesses, so that we can have these different types of things that really support our lifestyles.

If you feel the same way, then here is what I want you to know: time freedom paves the way for financial freedom.

The more time and energy that you have, the more that you can do these six things:

Number one, take on additional client projects.

So in this case, your max number of clients can suddenly increase because you have the capacity and the bandwidth for it. Have you ever had to turn down a client that you know you were really excited for the project or you really enjoy working with them, but you just did not have the time to do the project? Well, this will not be a problem for you when you can increase your time and energy.

Number two, experiment with more marketing strategies and increase the visibility of your business, so that people start coming to you rather than the other way around.

When you're on a time crunch, you probably spend a lot of time just doing client work. So you end up having these sort of peaks and dips of getting work, because it's directly tied to how much marketing you're doing. You're either doing a ton of client work and really bogged down with that and you can't do any marketing and sales, or else you finish those up and suddenly you realize, “I don't have any more clients coming in!” So then you focus all of your energy on marketing and sales, right? It seems like it's constantly going back and forth. It's like this teeter totter and this balance that is really, really frustrating.

Now, when you have time freedom, you do not need to choose between doing client work or marketing your business, you can actually do both.

The third thing that you're able to do when you have more time and energy is to follow up and reconnect with prospects so that you can leverage any warm leads, and/or you can follow up and reconnect with past clients, for referrals for getting repeat work, all of that kind of thing.

This is really perfect for those clients who you loved working with. The more time and energy that you have, the more that you'll be able to get creative and look at, “okay, how can I get more work with a particular client who I just adored working with or whose projects were so much fun? How can they become a retainer client? How can I get repeat work with them? How can I get more referrals and testimonials from them?"

And of course when you have more time and energy, you will have the capacity and the bandwidth to follow up with those people who expressed interest but maybe haven't heard back from them and that kind of thing as well.

When you have more time and energy, the fourth thing that you'll be able to do is to create or launch new products or services. financial freedom solopreneurship

This is a wonderful way to add or expand your existing product base or your services that you offer, which then increases your revenue.

Now I don't know about you, but so many of my clients are idea machines and I am the exact same way, constantly coming up with new ideas and constantly wanting to create new things and offer new services and provide more value for my clients! So this is a really lovely opportunity to get very creative with what you offer.

And when you have that extra time and energy you can play with all of those things. You can test out that service that you're intrigued by, you can create that digital product that really is just inspiring you; you can do all of those different types of things.

The fifth thing that you can do when you have more time and energy is to do very strategic market research to fine tune your messaging and your sales so that every time you promote your products or services, you are maximizing the potential of those sales.

Basically here, you're able to do a lot more of what's working really well rather than just throwing spaghetti at the wall.

When you don't have time or energy, what ends up happening is that you end up really just doing types of things, going through the motions and spinning your wheels and just kind of throwing out a bunch of different marketing strategies, right?

But when you have that extra time and energy you can really take a step back and analyze, assess what's working, really understand deeply why something is working and why something else is not working, and then be highly strategic with all of your messaging, all of those different types of things.

And the sixth thing that you can do when you have more time and energy is to improve your offerings, products and your skills, which may lead to increased confidence, more customer satisfaction, etc.

The better you are at your craft, the happier your clients and customers will be and the more comfortable and confident you will be in promoting your services and products.

When you have more time and energy, you can work on honing your craft and building your skill sets — all of these beautiful things. Everyone benefits in this scenario, both you and your clients and customers.

An important note about what we did NOT include in the above list...

Now you will notice that none of the things on that list says something like quadruple your prices or change who your ideal client is so that they'll pay you more. If you want to charge higher prices, go nuts! Absolutely, that's okay. But you do not need to do that. You do not need to change your ideal client is, and you do not need to skyrocket your prices in order to achieve financial freedom — not when you start with the foundation of time freedom.

If you want more money, focus first on freeing up more time and energy.

And my signature e-course, Productivity Powerhouse, enables you to do exactly that! You will not only free up 5 - 10 (or more) hours a week, every single week without the burnout or overwhelm, but you will also dramatically increase your energy, your capacity, your bandwidth to best leverage that time and use it to the fullest.

And by the way, when you join Productivity Powerhouse, you will also get access to the SaganMorrow.com legacy product suite: this includes 12 e-courses for solopreneurs such as the Pitching Clients 101 e-course, Keep Your Clients e-course, and Irresistible Offers e-course, all of which are specifically designed to make it easier than ever for you to effectively market your services and products and make more sales — in other words achieve financial freedom.
