TRANSCRIPT:
Is fear holding you back in business (or in life)? Do you hear yourself saying, “I’d do this thing, if only I was brave enough”? Let’s unpack that in this video!
My name is Sagan Morrow and I'm an anti hustle Productivity Strategist and internationally board certified Success and Life Coach who specializes in working with solopreneurs. Be sure to grab my free training, Anti Hustle Secrets to Solopreneur Success!
Now let's get into today's video: This whole concept of bravery and fear in solopreneurship.
"I can't move across the country — I'm not brave like you."
"I’ve always dreamed of having that kind of lifestyle, but it doesn’t seem realistic.”
"I'm scared I might not be ready to make that big life or business decision... Maybe I'll hold off doing that."
Have you thought or said any of the above?
When my spouse and I moved across the country a couple years ago one of our closest friends said that she "wasn't brave" and therefore couldn't do something like that. My spouse immediately answered, "Are you kidding? This was scary for us, too!" And it’s true — it WAS scary!
I think that sometimes, when we see people making big life or business decisions — especially when it's something WE want to be able to do for ourselves, and/or when we see them having an awesome experience with it — it appears as though it was *easy* for them.
And then we think, "They aren't afraid like me…. I’m not brave like they are. They don’t understand my fears, they don’t have my fears."
But here's the thing... There's no true *guarantee* in life. And just because something turned out fantastic and was a really good decision in hindsight, it doesn't mean that we 100% knew with absolute confidence that it would all turn out well.
Hindsight is 20/20. It's easy to look back and think, "That was a great decision! I'm so glad I did it."
...but it's a lot scarier to take the leap of faith when, frankly, you don't know how exactly it's going to turn out.
If you're wondering something like, "Should I wait to hire a coach until I build my business more?" or "Maybe I'm not ready for coaching, because it feels like a scary leap!", then I want you to know this:
My coaching clients faced the EXACT same thing as you are facing, right now.
It's easy for you to look at the testimonials and the good experiences my clients have had and are having, and to think, "Oh, it's easy for them to have made that decision. They got a great experience. They probably weren't scared to take the leap and get life coaching or solopreneur coaching."
...But, again, hindsight is 20/20! My clients often tell me they were scared or nervous to get coaching. They weren't sure if they were ready for it. They felt uncomfortable asking for help.
And yet: Once we start working together, they *also* all tell me that they are so glad they made this decision and did the scary thing.
(They also are delighted to discover that coaching isn't scary, after all!)
Now, here's a key part about doing the scary thing, whether you’re hiring a coach or moving across the country or doing anything...
...You do NOT need to leap forward blindfolded or without a *safety net*.
You can be highly strategic and take *calculated* risks!
For example: When my spouse and I decided to make this big move and literally move across the country, we made lists and plans. We thought about it, talked about it, looked into our options, and made the decision based on both our hearts and our heads. We were very strategic and intentional about it.
Similarly, many of my 1:1 clients like to email back and forth a few times with me and ask questions before they hire me. I think that's great! Everyone has different levels of comfort with risk, so other clients are ready to join no questions asked, and that's great too — the important thing is to honour *your* comfort level and make the decision that feels good for you (even if it feels scary at the same time!)
This, by the way, is also why I share SO MANY details about my coaching program and style of coaching (and why I'm very transparent with pricing, terms & conditions, etc), because I always want you to make the best decision for you.
*I am here to help you* make the best decision for you:
If you're not sure whether the Solopreneur CEO 6-month 1:1 coaching program (or my general success & life coaching) is right for you, just email me at hello@saganmorrow.com, and share with me about your business and any concerns or questions you have — I'm happy to advise you and let you know whether this is a good fit for your particular situation (and FYI, if I do not believe that my coaching programs are a good fit for you, I'll tell you that, too! I’ll be very open with you about that.)
You can reduce the fears and risk even more by booking an obligation-free intro session! Solopreneur CEO is my 6-month one-on-one coaching program, and for a VERY limited time, you can get a “taste” of it without the full 6-month commitment.
This is an amazing way to get a taste of Solopreneur CEO, but it is ONLY available to you when you book your spot by THIS FRIDAY, April 28.
It’s a 90-minute session where we’ll do goal setting and productivity assessment, as well as work through some mindset issues and internal bottlenecks. You’ll also get the recap email (so you don’t need to take notes — I’ll take the notes for you and provide them after), recording of our session, and action steps afterward (I’m not leaving you hanging! You’ll have specific things to implement).
After this initial session, if you decide that YES you want Solopreneur CEO, you will get a credit that fully reimburses you for the amount that you spend on this single session. It’ll essentially be your intro session and deposit for Solopreneur CEO.
And if you decide that you’re good after that one session and you don’t want to join Solopreneur CEO, that’s totally fine! You’ll still walk away with some fantastic plans for your goals, a productivity plan of action, and you’ll have made headway with some of your internal bottlenecks.
Visit /single to book that single introductory session now — again it’s only available when you book it by this Friday April 28, and if you miss out, then you’ll need to commit to the full 6-month program of Solopreneur CEO for solopreneur coaching.
