1) Why did you decide to enroll in the Set Yourself Up For Freelancing Success e-course?
I decided to enroll myself in the Set Yourself Up For Freelancing Success e-course after reading Sagan’s book on freelancing, The Business of Writing & Editing: Practical Tips & Templates for New Freelancers, in early 2016.
I learned so much from just one read-through of her book, and I couldn’t wait to learn more! Sagan’s book is the reason I decided to make the transition to full-time freelancing, and I knew this e-course would help me along the way.

2) What were your goals when you enrolled in the course?
Since I had already decided to leave my office job over the summer and begin freelancing full-time, my main goal with the Set Yourself Up For Freelancing Success e-course was to use it to guide my steps.
I didn’t want to forget any important steps as I made the transition to full-time freelancing, and I knew the course would be a great resource if and when I ever found myself asking, “What next?”
3) Tell us about your experience with e-course.
This e-course has certainly been extremely beneficial!
The modules are clear and concise, and the worksheets and cheat sheets attached to each module helped me think through all of the different topics and what they meant for my personal situation—they helped me to take what I had read about in the lessons and apply it to my specific business. I will definitely be revisiting the modules and worksheets if I run into any questions or problems as my freelance career progresses.
Also, the private Slack community group for the e-course has been very helpful, as it is a great place to receive feedback and encouragement from other students taking the course. The action items at the end of each module helped keep me on track as well.
This course covered everything it promised to!
4) What were you able to do with your business as a result of taking this course?
I was able to take it to a whole new level! Honestly, with the help of this course, my business went from just an idea in my head to something that I am now working on full-time.
Since the start of this e-course coincided with the beginning of my freelance career, everything I have learned in this course has led to progress of some kind in my business. The biggest mark of progress that I have seen so far is the launch of my website!

5) Who would you most recommend this course to and why?
I would most recommend this course to people who are new to freelancing of any sort, because it truly is a fantastic road map to help them find their way in a career where everything can seem overwhelming, especially at the beginning of their journey.
